Hi guys. Since I sold my IC-2200H last fall, I'm on the prowl for another similar rig. I'd prefer an ICOM IC-2200, but I'd also entertain a Yaesu model (FT2800?). I prefer one built in the last 10 years or so.

Let me know what you got. I've got plenty to trade with or will buy straight out.

Thanks for looking.

-Chris, KI4SYR

*EDIT: Bought a Yaesu FT-8900 at the Reidsville hamfest today. Don't need anything else now. Thanks.

Hey Chris, Did you go to the swapfest? If so, did you find the radio you were asking about?

I did see a couple 2m rigs, but they were older than I was looking for. Mike did have a Yaesu FT8900 I would have loved to have, but the funds just wasn't there. Looked like a fair turnout for the hamfest. Wish I could have stayed longer.

I broke down and bought a Yaesu FT-8900 at the Reidsville Hamfest on Saturday. I've regretted selling mine last year ever since. I don't need it for the mobile, but for the home station. I don't want my desk cluttered up like it was before with 4 or 5 radio's hanging around. I'll still need a HF rig to sit beside this one or I'll just break down again and come home with a Yaesu FT-857D again (yea I regret selling that one too).

To add humor to the situation, I think this is the same radio I sold last year. I'll have to get in touch with W4SNA to be for sure, but the scratch marks on the remote mount kit match how I had it fixed in the wife's Subaru Forester.
